ANBU UK Trustee

We're an ambitious start-up charity, registered in the UK since May 2018, supporting survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse (CSA) in the Tamil community. Our work is firmly embedded in the community, delivering outreach and workshop sessions, furthering research on the Tamil community, and last year, starting the delivery of therapeutic services.

We are looking for pioneering professionals to join the trustees group to support the steering of 12+ passionate volunteers in achieving ANBU’s vision to reach and support more survivors, connect with the Tamil community and transform lives. 

We are looking for 2-3 new trustees, including a Treasurer. Specific role information can be found using links below including code of conduct: 

  • Commitment  to trustee role for minimum of 2 years


  • Attend 6x bi-monthly meetings (duration up to 2 hours) and any ad-hoc emergency meeting as required.


  • Support administrative duties associated with trustee meeting (minute taking will be a shared responsibility on rotation with other trustees).


  • Develop, review and drive ANBU UK Strategic aims and growth. This will require remote support of approx. 4 hours a month.


  • Contribute to developing trustee report at year end, and participate in the review process of financial report/summary.


  • Specifically support an area of work (depending on expertise of applicant).


These are set to be dynamic roles with opportunities to challenge and test in the most inspiring ways.
