ANBU UK is survivor-centred at it's core, we take a holistic and intersectional approach to providing support that is from and for the Tamil community.
We amplify the voices, needs and rights of individuals who’ve been impacted by childhood sexual abuse or sexual violence in the Tamil community.
We are looking for volunteers to join the team! Volunteering will cover a wide range of areas from supporting therapeutic services to social media to outreach in the community! Whether your a creative and enjoy designing posts or want to learn and gain experience in other areas such as leading campaigns or delivering presentations, we want to hear from you.
Applicants would need to commitment to a minimum of 5 hours a month to volunteering with the possibility of more for events or workshops.
You will receive induction training and 2 training days per year, an excellent opportunity to gain experience to build or refine CV's. It may be of particular interest for those seeking experience working in trauma support or community development.
We also very much welcome applicants with a professional background in mental health.
Whatever your background, whatever your experience, you can make a significant difference in the community.
