ANBU UK is looking for a new Director to provide leadership and overall strategic direction for all our activity, ensuring we meet the needs of the individuals we serve.
This is a unique and rare opportunity to enhance leadership experience and champion the Tamil experience in mental health and trauma support sectors, and additionally within the community. You will be a part of transformations in the community and beyond.

  • This will be a 2-stage recruitment process. Following an initial application sift, selected candidates will be invited to attend a 1xhour Interview with an interview panel on one of the following evenings 21st, 22nd, 27th or 28th September (over Zoom or in person, tbc).Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to attend a discussion with ANBU Directors (UK and Canada) early October before final selection is made.

  • This is currently an unpaid volunteer position.

  • As an organisation that is currently focussing on supporting the Tamil community, we are seeking applications from those with Tamil heritage or a deepened understanding of the Tamil community.

  • Applicants will need to commitment between 15-20 hours a month to a ANBU activity with the ability to flex times as needed for any major ANBU events or activities.

  • You will receive induction training and supported with a training and shadowing period over 3 months before formally taking up appointment (expected January 2022).

  • ANBU UK is committed to strengthening capacity and excellence in the community through learning and development. We are open to receiving applications from exceptional individuals who may not be able to meet all criteria’s listed within the personal specification document.
