We're an ambitious start-up charity, registered in the UK since May 2018, supporting survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse (CSA) in the Tamil community. Our work is firmly embedded in the community, delivering outreach and workshop sessions, furthering research on the Tamil community, and last year, starting the delivery of therapeutic services.
We are looking for 2x volunteers, a Therapeutic Practice Lead and a ISVA (Independent Sexual Violence Advisor).
Therapeutic practice lead
This volunteer will lead in shaping ANBU survivor support, designing interventions that provide optimal support outcomes for survivors, additionally driving research in the CSA sector and from the Tamil community.
An exciting role with opportunities to gain management experience and working within a charitable context.
Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA)
This volunteer will have the opportunity to gain an accredited diploma qualification for ISVA programme will be fully paid for by ANBU UK. Volunteer will gain a diploma qualification at Level 4 (equivalent to A/S, A2, Access, GNVQ Advanced) with the Open College Network representing 175 hours of learning (fully paid by ANBU UK).

As ANBU UK is currently supporting the Tamil speaking community specifically, those of Tamil heritage would be preferred. Tamil speaking desirable (but not essential) for both roles.
We will look to have volunteer commitment for minimum of 2 years.
Attend monthly team meetings (via zoom currently).
Support with other duties associated with role contained in the role profile.

These are set to be a fundamental and transformative roles within the organisation with opportunities to challenge and test in the most inspiring ways.
These roles will suit individuals with a counselling and psychotherapy professional background, or trainees looking for experience in this field, or in the process of becoming qualified therapeutic practitioners.
