Volunteering with ANBU UK

Whether you would like to join as a Core Team member or an Ambassador, we are looking for people who are as passionate as we are about spreading awareness and being a part of change in the community!

We're looking for individuals who are/can:

Enthusiastic, approachable and compassionate

Comfortable advocating and empowering others by providing support with issues related to mental well-being, childhood sexual abuse and healthy relationships (fully guided by your team)

Work well both in a team and individually

Provide others with signposting support and resource distribution.

Able to balance both university/work and ANBU UK commitments

Right now, most tasks will be virtual, this includes:

Attend training on themes related to ANBU and the volunteer role,

Named as an ANBU UK volunteer - they will signpost to ANBU UK for anyone requiring support, and will be provided with tools to share any information from their training should they be approached in university or at events they are representing ANBU in the capacity of ANBU UK volunteer (fully supported by the ANBU team),

Get involved in projects that are ongoing at ANBU UK; this may involve working group meetings or individual tasks.

Take part in ANBU campaigns in events; this might mean attending events virtually or in person as their availability allows

Take part in ANBU fundraisers!

We are mindful that volunteers have commitments outside of ANBU UK! We just ask for open communication about your availability and ability to effectively participate and contribute in meetings, projects and events!

Volunteers will be fully supported by the ANBU UK support team and their peers on the team, who will be keeping in touch on a regular basis.

Training will be provided to successful applicants; volunteers will gain insights into wellbeing interventions, advocacy, social change, and so much more - great for experience and CV building.
