Ahrabi 
Rajkumar

Ahrabi is a strong believer in mindfulness and healing through all forms of creativity and actively maintains her passion of art and music. She currently manages ANBU Safe Space and is involved in various other ANBU UK projects. 

Ahrabi envisions a future where Tamil communities around the world are open to conversation regarding abuse, as well as collectively working together to protect and maintain the wellbeing of its members.

Subitha
Ilankesan

Subitha is a data analyst with a keen interest in making data accessible and easy to understand. In her free time she enjoys working on anything arty or creative!

Gayathri
Nagarajan

Gayathri works in Business Development at a tech startup. She is passionate about womxn's empowerment and has been working with charities for the past 14 years. At ANBU she works on community outreach. 

In her free time she enjoys cooking and listening to podcasts.

Jason
Gireson

Jason is a Londoner and NHS healthcare professional.

Bliss = Travel, food and poetry.

Mayuri is a MA History graduate who has worked predominantly in the public sector. She is currently involved in the social media work for Anbu UK along with her full time role.
In her spare time, Mayuri enjoys writing and picking up new languages from movies and tv series.

Shavena
Vigneswara Kumar

Shavena is the Outreach lead and Independent Sexual Violence Advisor for ANBU UK. She has experience in youth work and advocacy from working in Tamil community organisations and NGOs. She is interested in decolonising knowledge and practices to explore what     liberation can look like. In her spare she likes chilling with her cat!

In her spare time, Mayuri enjoys writing and picking up new languages from movies and tv series.

Jumani
Yogaraja

Jumani began her adventure as a freelance hair and makeup artist in 2013. She is also the founder of The Lash Bar UK and is a spokesperson for ANBU UK. She has a keen interest in promoting awareness around the issues surrounded by childhood trauma and abuse in the Tamil community. She is passionate about helping support fellow survivors.

In her spare time, Mayuri enjoys writing and picking up new languages from movies and tv series.

Dr Anuja Suntharamoorthy

Dr Anujavahinie Suntharamoorthy, is a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) run- through Psychiatry Trainee in North Central and East London. Anuja is currently a Trustee and previously the Interim Chair of the Board of Directors for Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (RASASC)/ Rape Crisis South London. After joining ANBU UK as a Core Committee member in November 2017, Anuja became our new Director in October 2021. She helped lead ANBU Ambassadors, became Chair of Multi- Disciplinary Advisory Group (MDAG) and delivered safe space sessions to name a few activities. As a Tamil woman, a volunteer, a survivor and a doctor, Anuja is passionate about challenging the stigma of mental health to better support and empower ethnic minority survivors of domestic abuse and child abuse, particularly childhood sexual abuse.

Kamalanathan

As well as frequenting the dance floor and yoga mat, I love to gorge on Tamil food and good books!

Nikalya Sarvan

I am a psychology graduate, currently working as an Assistant Psychologist within the NHS. I am excited to be part of ANBU as a volunteer. I am an enthusiastic individual who enjoys meeting new people and trying new experiences.
